Midwest Petroleum Company, commonly referred to as MPC, was founded in 1946 by Mr. and Mrs. Lou Levins in Downtown St. Louis.

In 1993, we were purchased by Don McNutt and have had the pleasure of serving the St. Louis Metropolitan community for over 70 years.

During this time, MPC has purchased or built over 100 convenience stores, served millions of customers, served delicious meals under the brand Dottie’s Express, and provided clean, safe stores for our customers to enjoy. We currently operate 57 locations in Missouri and Illinois with a mix of store sizes, amenities and food offerings.

In 2015 we launched our own unique customer loyalty program, FastBack Rewards.

In 2018, James McNutt became the President of MPC, continuing our strong legacy of great customer service and creating great workplaces for our Team Members across the MPC network. We also improved and re-launched our FastBack Rewards loyalty program, giving us the ability to pass on even bigger savings to our customers.

2022 was a big year for MPC. We launched a fuel hauling division, started a new concept in food service called Dottie’s Smashburger (offered exclusively at our Red Bud, IL, location) and expanded our store concept by opening a So-Lo Smokes and Spirits store in Cuba, Mo.
